The ACL began on Sunday past and Ballymacnab welcomed neighbours, Granemore to Pairc na nGael. In a game where both teams failed to dominant for any long period of time, it ended all square after 60 minutes, with both camps reasonably content with a share of the spoils.

Both sides fielded minus a number of their regulars but this gave an opportunity for others to shine. Granemore began scoring proceedings with a converted free on the 3rd minute but a long range punt from Barry O'Hare cancelled that score. Granemore responded with two points before another long range point, this time from Richard Gribben reduced the deficit. Granemore went on the attack once more and edged further in front before two points from Ryan Kennedy levelled the game by the 28th minute. A point for both sides on the verge of half time left the sides gridlocked at 5 points each.

Gary McKee was entered into the fray after the break and his point on the 36th minute put the home side in front for the first time and a point from Pauric Gribben, after linking well with Ryan Kennedy, put the 'Nab two in front. Granemore hit back with a point before Joe Gribben curled over a point on the 42nd minute after collecting a ball from Paudi Crilly. The game edged to and fro on the score board and by the 50th minute the sides were level for a fifth time. Granemore edged back in front two minutes later but points from Brendan Toner and Paul Kennedy looked to have maybe got the 'Nab over the finishing line but a late point levelled the game once more and by the final whistle the sides could not be separated.
